The
Location
The different locations that we will tend to be using
are:
- The Media Studio within the college, which will be useful for lighting
- Areas in Tottenham, as this location represents the social class of the antagonist
- Protagonist’s House
- Bus Stop
- College car park
Problems
likely to be encountered
Some of the issues we may encounter during the usage of
such locations are the fact that for the Media Studio we will need to get
permission as this is something that is under supervision. For the locations
within the Tottenham areas and the bus stop we may tend to have issues with
elements such as background noises and traffic at busy times. For the house we
would not encounter as many problems due to the fact that it is the house of one
of the crew members which will therefore act as a huge benefit.
Props
The props that will be used within our short film are:
- A replicate gun used by the Antagonist
- A briefcase for the paperwork
- Pen and Paper
- A rope used to tie up the hostage
- Plastic black bag used to cover the hostage’s identity
- Oyster Card to get on the bus
- Chair
-
Cell Phone
Costume,
hair and Make-Up
The costume, hair and make-up associated with our short
film are:
- A smart business type suit worn by the Protagonist
- The antagonist will wear jeans with a top, as well as a dark hat and a mask/balaclava to suggest that he is the criminal and that he has the complete opposite personality of the antagonist
- The hostage’s identity will be covered with a
black, plastic bag
Lighting
We will be using low-key lighting during the kidnapping
scene. This will be accomplished using the media studio. This is the only scene
in which we will be using the lighting to full effect, other than that, in the
rest of the film we will be relying on natural light when we record outdoors.
Also during the phone call we will be showing the antagonist under low
key-lighting and at the same time will be showing the protagonist at home under
low-key lighting.
